How I lead product

Start with the problem.

The strongest products begin with a clear understanding of where people struggle, why it matters, and what success should look like. My role is to turn that understanding into a focused strategy and a product the team can ship, measure, and improve.

01

Find the right problem

I use customer conversations, workflow observation, and operating data to separate symptoms from the problem worth solving.

02

Remove friction

I simplify complex journeys through thoughtful design, automation, and AI—without making the technology the point.

03

Build alongside engineers

My technical background lets me challenge assumptions, evaluate tradeoffs, and protect the customer experience.

04

Build for enduring value

I create foundations teams can keep building on, balancing near-term outcomes with long-term product and platform health.

Product story

From concept to a multi-sided SaaS marketplace.

I founded SpeakerMatch in 2002 and built it from concept into a multi-sided SaaS marketplace connecting speakers with event organizers. I have owned its customer discovery, strategy, roadmap, architecture, experience design, launches, analytics, and continuous modernization.

The platform brings discovery, applications, matching, messaging, scheduling, profiles, payments, support, and internal operations into a cohesive product. What once required fragmented manual work now runs through structured journeys designed to feel straightforward for customers.

Across that evolution, I have aligned engineering, design, marketing, operations, support, and partners around shared outcomes—deciding what to build first while balancing customer value, engineering capacity, technical risk, and long-term platform leverage.

AI product judgment

Use the right tool for the problem.

My approach to AI is practical and product-led. I start with the customer or operational problem, then decide whether AI, traditional automation, or human judgment is the right answer. I consider reliability, measurable value, and what happens when the system gets something wrong. The goal is not to showcase AI—it is to create a better, more dependable product.

Enterprise perspective

Built with customers at every scale.

My experience spans founder-led product building, complex enterprise programs, and work with organizations across financial services, healthcare, technology, retail, media, government, and the nonprofit sector.
